Weighted Blankets

A weighted blanket, also called a heavy blanket or weighted throw, spreads a weight of 2.5 to 12 kg over the body thanks to microbeads stitched into pockets. Many people look for one for its gentle, enveloping feeling of pressure at bedtime. We offer eleven models: on each product page, you choose the weight and size directly, without jumping from page to page.

What weight for your blanket?

Slide the cursor to your body weight: we apply the 10% rule and suggest the matching blanket weight and models.

Recommended blanket weight
7 kg
Recommended size
135 × 200 cm (up to 1.80 m) or 150 × 220 cm

Between two weights, take the lighter one.

Choosing your weighted blanket in three questions

  1. What weight? Allow about 10% of your body weight. Between two weights, or for a first blanket, take the lighter one. Our weight guide covers each range, from 3 to 12 kg.
  2. What size? The blanket covers your body, not the bed: it should not hang over the sides. 135 × 200 cm is the most versatile single size; 150 × 220 cm suits people taller than about 1.80 m. See our size guide.
  3. What season? Cotton or linen when it is warm, velvet or a duvet when the nights are cool.

What is the best weighted blanket?

There is no ideal model for everyone: the best weighted blanket is the one whose weight, size and fabric match your body and your bedroom. If you often feel hot, look at our summer selection. If you want a weight that never shifts, the Premium is the only one with a fixed inner blanket. If the noise of a zip bothers you, the Sensory has none. For a child, go to our kids’ collection and its safety rules.

Frequently asked questions

What weight of weighted blanket should I choose?

Aim for about 10% of your body weight: for example, 6 kg for 60 to 69 kg, or 8 kg for 80 to 89 kg. If you are torn between two weights, take the lighter one. If the weight doesn’t suit you, we arrange an exchange for another weight.

Weighted blanket, heavy blanket, weighted throw: what's the difference?

They are three names for the same principle: a blanket whose weight is spread across pockets of microbeads. The word “throw” suggests a sofa-sized format, like our Travel model in 110 × 170 cm, but the construction is the same.

Can two people sleep under one weighted blanket?

A weighted blanket is chosen according to each person’s weight. Our 270 × 200 cm weighted blanket for two combines two independent inner blankets, each weighted for its own sleeper. You can also take two single blankets, one on each side of the bed.

How do I care for a weighted blanket?

It depends on the model. Removable covers wash at 40 °C, inner blankets and all-in-one models at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, then air dry, never in a tumble dryer. Check your machine’s capacity for heavier weights.
