Linen Weighted Blanket

Linen is the signature fibre of Nordic interiors: understated, natural, beautiful even when crumpled. The Linen weighted blanket pairs it with gentle, enveloping pressure, in a format designed for spring, summer and bedrooms that warm up quickly. It will appeal to anyone who loves natural materials and wants a moderate weight, for the night or a nap. As always, everyone experiences it differently: a 30-night trial gives you time to make it yours.

100% linen on both sides

Both sides of the blanket are made of natural linen. This fibre is valued for its breathability and its ability to wick away moisture: it stays pleasant against the skin on mild nights. Over time and with washing, linen softens and becomes even gentler.

It’s made in Europe with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified textiles. Its 120 x 190 cm size, a little more compact than our standard adult blankets, covers one person’s body without draping over either side of the bed, which also helps limit the feeling of warmth.

Who is the 5.5 kg weight for?

The Linen blanket comes in a single weight. Following the rule of around 10% of body weight, 5.5 kg is particularly suited to adults and teenagers of around 55 kg. It may also appeal to slightly heavier people looking for light pressure, especially in summer. If you weigh considerably more, a blanket offered in several weights, such as the Cotton or Summer, will let you fine-tune your choice. For a teenager, an adult checks that the weight is suitable and that they can remove the blanket on their own.

Care

The blanket is machine washed whole on a delicate cycle at 30 °C maximum with a low spin. First check that your machine can handle the weight. Air dry it, spread out or hanging, without a tumble dryer. Linen looks naturally crumpled: no need to iron it.

Linen, Summer or Soft: how to choose?

For hot nights, the Summer weighted blanket is the breathable cotton alternative, with four weights from 5 to 11 kg and two sizes. If you’d rather have a cocooning feel, the Soft weighted blanket with its plush side is a completely different experience. The Linen remains the choice for lovers of natural fibres and moderate weight.
