When the nights turn chilly, the Winter weighted blanket brings together two things we look for under the duvet: warmth and a weight that wraps around you. Its cotton and velvet cover and thick padding create a real cocoon effect, ideal for people who feel the cold, cooler bedrooms or long winter evenings on the sofa. Many people make it part of their bedtime routine to slow down at the end of the day; everyone experiences it in their own way, and you have 30 nights to make up your mind.
Velvet, cotton and thick padding
The Winter blanket follows the same construction as our standard blankets: a weighted insert and a removable cover attached with ties. The difference lies in the materials and thickness. The velvet feels soft and warm, the cotton stays pleasant against the skin, and the thicker padding holds in body heat.

The blanket is made in Europe with OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified textiles. The compartments hold the microbeads in place, so the weight stays spread over your whole body, even if you move during the night.
Which weight should you choose?
Allow around 10% of your body weight. This model starts at 6 kg, which makes it better suited to medium to larger adults. If in doubt, choose the lighter weight.

If you weigh less than 50 kg, a model available from 3 or 4 kg will suit you better. And if the weight you chose isn’t right for you, we’ll arrange an exchange.
Care
Remove the cover by undoing the ties and machine wash it at 40 °C maximum. The insert is washed separately and less often, at 30 °C maximum on a delicate cycle with a low spin. Check that your machine can handle the weight. Air dry, flat or hanging, without a tumble dryer. To keep the cover clean for longer between washes, simply air the blanket in the morning.
Winter, Cotton or Premium: how to choose?
The Winter blanket is the warmest of our standard blankets. If you want a single model for the whole year, the Cotton weighted blanket has a lighter, more breathable cover. If you’re looking for maximum weight stability and a zipped cover, the Premium weighted blanket, filled with fixed stainless steel beads, also comes with an all-season velvet cover. Tip: with a summer cover with ties, your Winter blanket can also see you through the warmer months.

Is it too warm for summer?
It's designed for autumn and winter. For the warmer months, you can swap its cover for a cotton summer cover with ties, or choose the Summer weighted blanket.
Which weight should I choose if I weigh 65 kg?
Following the 10% rule, the 6 kg is the best fit. If in doubt, go for the lighter one; a weight exchange is still possible.
Can I put it on top of my duvet?
Yes, many people lay it over their duvet in winter. Because it's already warm, a light duvet is often enough.
How do I wash the velvet cover?
The cover is machine washable at 40 °C maximum, and the insert separately at 30 °C on a delicate cycle. Air dry, without a tumble dryer.
Which size should I choose?
The 135 x 200 cm size covers one person. The 150 x 220 cm size suits taller sleepers or anyone who likes the blanket to drape over the sides of the bed.
