Weighted Blankets for Kids
A weighted blanket for kids calls for more caution than one for an adult. Our Kids blanket comes in 3 to 7 kg and three sizes, from 90 × 120 to 110 × 170 cm. It is never suitable for a child under 3 years old or under 15 kg. For daytime, the weighted vest and the weighted lap pad offer a lighter weight, worn or resting on the knees.

Weighted blankets for babies: why we don’t offer them
Many people search for a weighted blanket for babies, but we do not sell any weighted blanket for babies, and we advise against placing any weight on an infant. A baby cannot take a blanket off on their own, which for us is an essential condition. Our lightest weight, 3 kg, corresponds to a child of about 30 kg: it is not meant for toddlers.

During the day: weighted vest and lap pad
The kids’ weighted vest is worn over clothes, with the weight spread over the shoulders and torso: S 1.5 kg (116–128 cm), M 2.5 kg (134–146 cm), L 3 kg (146–158 cm), XL 4 kg (158–170 cm). The same rules apply, with professional advice. The 1 kg weighted lap pad (30 × 40 cm) rests on the knees while reading, without covering the child.
Comfort product, not a medical device. If in doubt, or for a child, ask a healthcare professional for advice.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a weighted blanket for babies?
No. We do not offer any weighted blanket for babies or infants, and our blankets are never suitable for a child under 3 years old or under 15 kg. The child must be able to take the blanket off on their own, which a baby cannot do.
What weight for a 35 kg child?
For a child weighing 30 to 39 kg, the recommended weight is 3 kg, available in the Kids blanket in three sizes. An adult checks the weight before use, and the child must be able to take the blanket off on their own. If in doubt, ask a healthcare professional for advice.
My child weighs 22 kg: can they use a weighted blanket?
At 22 kg, 10% of body weight is about 2.2 kg, which is less than our lightest weight of 3 kg. So we advise against a weighted blanket without the advice of a healthcare professional. The 1 kg weighted lap pad, resting on the knees, is an option to discuss with them.

The 90 × 120 cm covers a child up to about 120 cm tall, the 100 × 150 cm up to about 145 cm, and the 110 × 170 cm suits older children and teenagers. The blanket should cover the body without hanging over the sides of the bed.
