Summer Weighted Blankets
A weighted blanket can feel warm in summer, especially if it is made of velvet or used with a duvet. This selection brings together our cotton and linen models, with no insulating layer, plus a summer cover and a cooling pillow. You keep the feeling of enveloping weight, with breathable fabrics that let air circulate better when nights are warm or the bedroom is heated.
Why a weighted blanket can feel warm
The weight presses the blanket against the body, which reduces the air between skin and fabric. The material then makes all the difference: velvet and plush hold in heat, while cotton and linen let more of it escape. Our article weighted blanket too hot in summer explains how this works.
Four models for the warm season

Switching an existing blanket to summer mode
Already have a Cotton, Winter or Kids blanket or a weighted duvet? The summer cover, in 100% cotton (grey, white or terracotta orange), attaches with tie loops. For the Premium, the summer cotton cover closes with a zip. The all-in-one models do not take a cover.
Our tips for warm nights
- Use the weighted blanket on its own, with no duvet on top.
- If you are torn between two weights, take the lighter one: you still feel the weight, with less fabric.
- Add the cooling pillow, with its breathable cotton pillowcase (from $22.90).
- Wash the blanket at 30 °C on a delicate cycle, then air dry, never in a tumble dryer.
- Air the bedroom before bed and keep the blanket folded at the foot of the bed at the start of the night if you prefer to pull it up later.

Frequently asked questions
Can you use a weighted blanket in summer?
Yes, as long as you choose a suitable fabric and use it on its own, without a duvet. Our Summer, Linen, Cotton and Sensory models are made of cotton or linen, with no insulating layer. The velvet models and the weighted duvet are better kept for autumn and winter.
Summer blanket or Linen blanket?
The Summer blanket, in double-sided cotton, comes in 5 to 11 kg and in two sizes. The Linen, in reversible 100% linen, comes in a single 5.5 kg weight and in 120 × 190 cm: it suits people around 55 kg or anyone who likes light pressure.
Can my Winter blanket be used in summer?
Its cotton and velvet cover and thick padding make it best for cool nights. You can swap the cover for our 100% cotton summer cover with tie loops, but in very hot weather a Summer or Linen model is still the better choice.
